[Naturally, Buffy calling to tell her that Dean made it to Cleveland is an invitation. One, because this is Buffy and when is a conversation with her not an invitation to troll her life, and two, she needed to keep an eye on her champion. She couldn't really do that from a diner in the middle of nowhere, now could she?

So this is Cordelia, bouncing up the stairs to the house that Buffy had left her with, and knocking on the door. It's the middle of the day. Someone should probably be home.]

{well, maybe if he's lucky, he'll get a beer out of this. that in mind, he shrugs]

Okay. Then let's go find Willy. I'll grab the weapons.

Willy? Really?

[with a name as tragic as that, dude probably needs an ass-beating -- or at least has a giant kick me sign on his back. either way, though, he makes a lead the way gesture]

[And after a half hour of driving around, looking for drinking establishments showing signs of life, Buffy smacks whoever's driving on the shoulder in a dramatic fashion.]

Oh! Oh! That one! Pull over!

[verymature]

[like he's really going to let Creepy McEyebrows drive]

[but at any rate, he kind of slams on the breaks when she slaps him and turns to shoot a glare over his shoulder] You wanna give a guy a little warnin' before you do somethin' like that? Unless you're seriously in that much of a mood for a dashboard sandwich.

[despite his protests, however, he pulls up to the bar, as ordered]

[She rolls her eyes.]

I didn't hit you that hard.

[but once the car stops she's climbing out.]

I think I saw a vamp heading in here.

Whatever. [no, she really didn't, but he wasn't expecting it. Sam never -- right, no. no, he's not going there]

[he breathes out a huff of a sigh, instead, steels his jaw a little, and gets out of the car, too, heading immediately for the trunk. if he's going in, he's going in locked and loaded]

Think small. You come in with something huge and we'll have a fight before we get what we want to know.

[Dean pops the trunk and peers around it at her] How small're we talkin'? Like ... .45 small? Or like ... couple of knives small? [not that there's really much of a difference, but knives are easier to conceal than a gun]

[She makes a bit of a face at the mention of a gun, but she knows that's what Dean's comfortable with. Still, all the same ... ]

Something concealable. Whatever you're more comfortable with.

[he leans back into the trunk, considering his options, and then settles on a bowie knife that he tucks into his boot. he feels weird without a gun, but ... better safe than pissing off the natives, as much as he wouldn't say no to a fight right now]

Hey, Eyebrows. [he pushes the trunk half closed and looks at Sylar over it] You want somethin' out of here?

[Sylar shakes his head, looking dimly amused, and Dean shrugs, closing the trunk] Your funeral, dude. [a beat] Okay. I'm good.

Let's do this.

[and with that they open the door to the bar, making their way inside. The bartender takes one look at them, and he looks ... an odd mix between annoyed and concerned.]

Oh ... oh come on.

Hi, Willy. How ya been?

[verymature]

[and since this is Buffy's show for the time being, Dean flips a mockingly cheerful wave and leans on the bar] Yo.

[a beat] Can't hurt to answer the lady, right?

C'mon Buffy. Can't you find some other hellmouth to haunt?

Well, gee. Here I thought we had a connection. You are really hurting my feelings.

[she pauses]

And I think we both know what happens when I get my feelings hurt.

[Willy glances between her and Dean for the moment before sighing.]

What do you want to know?

[Sylar snorts from behind them and Dean glances back at him, briefly, before returning his attentions to Willy] How about whatever you know about chaos demons -- specifically ones that may or may not be in town.

I may have heard something about a chaos demon. If I tell you, will you stop coming in during business hours?

For you, Willy? I will certainly try.

[He sighs, before writing down an address.]

This is where I heard he was staying. But it didn't come from me, understand?

[verymature]

You got it, chief. [and Dean's just going to reach to take the address from him]

[Buffy lets him swipe it, and then flashes Willy a smile.]

Nice doing business with you, Willy.

Yeah, sure. Get outta here.

[as much as he'd still like that drink, he knows it's probably a bad idea to press his luck. plus, well, he's pretty sure he doesn't want to become drinking buddies with a bunch of demons and vampires]

[Willy waves them off, and Buffy turns to lead the three of them back out to the car. As she does, she pushes up on her toes to peer at the address.]

Where are we heading?

[Dean helps out by holding the paper with the address up over his shoulder so she can see it]

You know where that is?

[She pauses for a moment before shaking her head.]

I'll call Cordelia. She can track it down.

[She pulls out her phone to make a quick phone call, which eventually leads to a small, slight amount of bickering. This is Cordelia.]

[well, at least he's not the only person who argues with the crazy lady. regardless of how comforting that thought may or may not be, though, he frowns for a moment, before:] She got the goods or what?
