cleveland } { honey, i'm home
[Naturally, Buffy calling to tell her that Dean made it to Cleveland is an invitation. One, because this is Buffy and when is a conversation with her not an invitation to troll her life, and two, she needed to keep an eye on her champion. She couldn't really do that from a diner in the middle of nowhere, now could she?
So this is Cordelia, bouncing up the stairs to the house that Buffy had left her with, and knocking on the door. It's the middle of the day. Someone should probably be home.]

[he really, really wishes he hadn't when he sees who it is] Oh, hell no. [and this would be the door closing in Cordelia's face]
no subject
Uh, rude much?
[She pounds on the door again.]
no subject
[he's pretty sure she'd win, considering some of the crap she said to him, last time they met. and the fact that she flounced off when she was finished]
no subject
Hey. I was trying to do you a favor, and you were being a jerk about it. I had earned my right to be rude.
no subject
Yeah, well, whatever way you wanna slice it, princess ... nice seein' you. Bye now. [this is Dean closing the door again]
no subject
I'm not going anywhere, pretty boy. Better get used to it.
no subject
Look, you got what you wanted. I'm here. Gold friggen star for you. What more do you want?
no subject
If you really think I'm just here for you? You're out of your mind.
[And with that, she's going to attempt to shove past him and into the house.]
Hey! Buffy!
no subject
Jesus, lady. You miss the memo about most of us workin' the night shift or something?
no subject
Please. They're Slayers -- they don't sleep much anyway, and it's not that early.
no subject
[anyway, after a moment he steps out of the doorway, if only because he doesn't want her drawing whatever nasties that don't sleep during the day down on their heads with the scene she's making] Fine. Whatever.
no subject
[and with that she's inside, dropping her bag at the door. While she's looking away, Buffy's coming down the stairs to see what the ruckus is all about, and ... turning around and trying to make a break for it because she's spotted.]
no subject
[well, looks like it's on him to run interference. and that in mind, he turns back to Cordelia and puts himself between her and the stairs]
no subject
Okay. I need to talk to Buffy. Or to whoever's pulling Watcher duty around here.
no subject
[it helps that he has back up now, too, even if the back up is supremely creepy. Sylar's lurking in the doorway to the kitchen, watching Cordelia very carefully]

Who are you?
no subject
[a beat] My name is Sylar.

[she glances back to Dean.]
I'm also supposed to be helping this one be a human being again, but I'm trying to appeal that decision.
no subject
[he glances between her and Dean briefly, curious, then decides asking about that can wait. he's more interested in finding out what she wants, why there seemed to be some kind of fight before she actually got into the house -- did he mention he wishes he had his hearing, still? -- and why Buffy bolted when she saw her. he was lurking long enough to catch that, after all, and if she's here to make trouble of any kind ... well, he's a little bit rabid about protecting the people he considers friends now, since he has so few of them]
[and so, that in mind ... ] I'm guessing this is more than just ... stopping by to catch up over a drink.
