Free for all for superhero based fandom smashing. Make a top level with your hero of choice and someone else will smash into it. I figured this would be easy and fun to do until we figure out actual plot and then we can do that.

For now, shenanignans!

[Dick Grayson. twenty-something. by day, a cop for Gotham's sister city, Blühaven; by night, the vigilante Nightwing. feel free to objectify him in either uniform, ladies (and gentlemen on a case-by-case basis). he's a Strong Female Character in the same way Clint Barton is and he has a very nice tush. no, really]

[Matt Murdock, also twenty-something. blind, lawyer, etc. -- you know how this one works]

[Jessica Jones has been sitting in the offices of Nelson & Murdock and probably giving Karen the death stare since Karen's all too friendly offer for coffee was met with a "Do I look like someone who needs coffee to you?"

She's having a really bad day. Let's just leave it at that.

Since Hogarth is being a twatwaffle and dragging her feet on getting Hope any actual real help in terms of a defense, Jessica is being forced to seek legal help elsewhere. What better place to look than a law office that seems to take an interest in cases that don't have a shot in hell. Being a PI, she hears things, and so far through all the research she's done they seem to be clean.

Jessica isn't sure she trusts it - Jessica doesn't trust anything - but if she stands any chance of getting Hope help for being stuck under Kilgrave's thrall, this is obviously the place to do it. Let's ignore the fact that she has no money, no leverage and no actual evidence that will help them win.

But for now she's just going to sit in the waiting area, left foot tapping out an odd kind of morse code with her back heel while she waits for one of the actual lawyers to come out and deal with her.

Just for the record, Karen is hoping that that happens ASAP.]

[Jessica Jones - yes, that Jessica Jones - twenty-something PI with a past. Really good at her job, but not always with the best of methods. Perpetually stuck in episode 3 until I catch up and finish the show completely. When I do, I will let you know.]

[Barry Allen, aka the Flash, Central City's most famous metahuman, also CCPD's perpetually late CSI. Apparently super-speed doesn't cancel out the super-tardiness. That being said, solves crimes by day, runs around saving the city by night, really loves SCIENCE.

Seriously, do not get him started on a nerd roll.]

[yeah, Dick knows he's being followed and has kind of been making a game of it]

[he's in town running an errand for Bruce, and while he's no where near done, that's on hold for a little while, while he waits for Barbara and Alfred to get back to him on something. it may end up taking them awhile -- if not the rest of the night, then at least a couple of hours, if the fact that Alfred suggested he go back to the hotel and catch a nap was any indication. and yeah, he could have done that, could have lost her fairly easily with the acrobatics (he's been doing that part of things since he was a kid, born into the circus, the son of trapeze artists), this is way more fun. he'll let her catch up eventually, maybe, and see what this is all about, but -- ]

[hey, wait. where'd she go?]

[he stops on a rooftop, tensed, half-expecting her to jump out of no where and onto him (maybe he let her get too close?), and when nothing comes, backtracks the way he came, and oh. are we having a fight scene? he thinks we're having a fight scene]

[that in mind, he releases the mag lock on the escrima sticks he wears on his back and reaches to pull them free. that done and without charging them up (they work like stun batons, when he wants them to), he takes a dive off of his perch to land next to her]
Hi. [a beat] Bad guys?
wingdinging: (pic#9702289)

[personal profile] wingdinging 2016-02-18 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Considering I do, too? [Bruce taught him to never take a life; he probably would have made that a rule for himself, anyway, even if he hadn't, even if he somehow started doing this on his own. the two of them have seen more than enough death for a lifetime between what happened to their both their parents] Yeah, I definitely work with that.

[a beat] You wanna take point, since this is your home turf and all? [if she leads, he'll follow]

[personal profile] wingdinging 2016-02-18 10:49 pm (UTC)(link)
[aw, yeah, kicking ass and taking names]

[and so they go, Dick fighting like he's done this a hundred times before and probably because he has. he uses his acrobatics training to his advantage, to avoid getting shot. he aims to disable, not kill, as promised, and does so quickly and efficiently, albeit with no small amount of flippant backtalk, regardless of whether or not the goons bother to answer him. he's kind of a beast, and when he finishes, he glances back at Laurel, to make sure she's doing okay. not that he imagines she won't keep up (he's known too many strong women vigilantes in his day to think she she needs help), but. call it force of habit. he would have looked to Bruce here, too, if they were fighting together]

[thankfully, Matt does come out to deal with her before too much longer. (sorry, Karen. he was trying to find a good stopping point in whatever he was working on, on his laptop. it took him a minute.) and so here he is, standing in the doorway of his office, one hand on the frame of the door]

Miss Jones?

[he's not a mindreader, but Karen probably gave him her name when she came to let him know they had a client]
wingdinging: (pic#9720528)

[personal profile] wingdinging 2016-02-20 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, sure.

[he shrugs, pauses a beat, and then points in Oliver's direction] I'm gonna go out on a limb, here, and guess that that's your Arrow friend? [it really wouldn't take a rocket scientist, but he can't help but be flippant in his asking]

brokeharlem: (would you turn your back on me?)

[personal profile] brokeharlem 2016-02-21 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
[alas, there is no science here (yet), just a shady looking guy, sitting at the back of a diner with a cup of tea. why is he shady, you ask? well, it's partially because he's wearing a hoodie and a baseball cap, the latter of which is very intentionally shadowing his face, and partially because he keeps glancing over his shoulder. maybe, if it was just one or the other, he'd be just a guy who was cold, just a guy who was keeping an eye out for a friend that was supposed to join him, but together? definitely suspicious]

[what do, Barry?]
supertardiness: (26)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-02-21 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
[What do? What do? How about ...

... completely blow Bruce's cover by being a giant nerd. He's making his way into Jitters, basically looking for a cup of coffee so he can head in to work when he spots one of his scientific heroes just sitting in the middle of Jitters like this is any ordinary day.

Okay. Okay, Barry, be cool. Let's just casually stroll past his table, super casual, just so he can get a closer look and when he does ... he promptly loses all his chill.]

... Oh my God. You're Bruce Banner.

[ARE YOU READY FOR THE ONCOMING GEEK STORM?]
brokeharlem: (been screwed up for too long)

[personal profile] brokeharlem 2016-02-21 01:06 am (UTC)(link)
[he's really not]

[on the plus side, a geek storm will be an improvement from what he thinks this might be -- someone working for Ross, someone who put two and two together from Culver, from Harlem, from New York, something along those lines. which probably explains why he's staring up at Barry like a deer in headlights]
No -- I'm not ... [shit]

[can he get up and make a break for it, now? he's definitely thinking he might]
supertardiness: (26)

[personal profile] supertardiness 2016-02-21 01:17 am (UTC)(link)
[HE'S NOT GOING TO LET YOU GET AWAY THAT EASILY. Probably. If Bruce tries to move Barry's just going to step into his way which is probably dumb, but he's the overeager giddy kind of nerd and tends to overstep as a general rule. He's not even going to acknowledge the denial and is just going to keep rambling.]

Your paper on anti-electron collisions was mind-blowing. Your theory about their impact on detection and manipulation of gamma radiation?

[His hands come up over his head as he makes an explosion noise.]

[Crane is here because Hogarth put in a call for a psych evaluation for Hope Shlottman. whether she's hoping it will help her case or hinder Jessica's obsession with it, who knows, but here he is, at the prison, as requested]

[he's currently watching Hope through the observation window, trying to get an initial impression before he goes in to talk to her, but he glances back, when Jessica enters. he turns in her direction entirely when he thinks he recognizes her, if only from what Hogarth told him]

Miss Jones, I presume?
brokeharlem: (the world's poor pessimist)

[personal profile] brokeharlem 2016-02-21 07:11 pm (UTC)(link)
[oh, shit this kid is trying to -- ]

[ -- to -- ]

[ -- congratulate him on science?]

[forgive him, Barry, while he looks purely baffled for a moment]
You -- [what. what is going on here? not that he's complaining, mind, this is a nice change from what he expected, but what?]
neverthehero: (Default)

[personal profile] neverthehero 2016-02-22 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah.

[She bounces to her feet anxiously.]

I think I have a potential client for you.
neverthehero: (Default)

[personal profile] neverthehero 2016-02-22 11:42 pm (UTC)(link)
[She makes a face as she gets up, eyeing Crane carefully. She doesn't like him. Probably just on the principle that Hogarth sent him.]

Yeah. That's me.
aworldonfire: (teach you to believe in something)

[personal profile] aworldonfire 2016-02-23 02:25 am (UTC)(link)
[nodding, Matt steps out of the door of his office and gestures her in]

Why don't you come sit down? We can talk about it.
