Yeesh. Cisco was right, bad guys should definitely never name themselves. [ she looks appropriately unimpressed for that dumb name. ] Nightwing on the other hand. [ she points her bow at him. ] Frickin' lit.

[he's pretty sure Oswald didn't name himself, per se -- that was more a rude nickname that someone started using, at some point, and it kind of stuck. he's not going to correct her, however, because he's totally on board with taking a shit on Oswald. and with her complimenting him on his codename]

[he grins easily, that latter part in mind] Hey, thanks. [a beat] And, uh, speaking of ... [he nods to her. someone explain to him how she got to be Speedy plz]

[Laurel is going to let Thea take that one, as she turns to scan the area and see if there are any signs of trouble anywhere.]

[ thea rolls her eyes. ] Green Arrow is my brother. [ SPILLING EVERY BEAN. ] Speedy was his nickname for me when I was a kid and he picked my codename for me before I even had a chance.

[Dick can't help but laugh. he holds up his hands placatingly immediately afterwards] Sorry, sorry. [a beat] Just imagining what codename I would have ended up with if I'd let Robin pick mine.

[Tim is not his brother, not by blood, but he might as well be. they're family, all of them]

[which isn't too far off from a zoo, except the animals are usually dead and mounted] Otherwise, he's doing the cliche bad guy thing and hanging out by the docks. [Dick isn't entirely sure which way Oswald is swinging on this one (or if this city even has a Natural History Museum), however, as he didn't get much of a chance to do recon before Laurel started following him. he can always phone a friend, if they don't have any ideas]

[Laurel nods once before glancing to Thea.]

We could call Overwatch. See if she can check the security cameras for anything weird?

If she can't find him, Dad probably can.

[ lmao probably because they're hanging out. she shrugs at laurel, letting her take the felicity angle, while she sets off to lead them toward the docks, because it's probably the docks. it's always the docks. ]

[Laurel purses her lips together for a moment, deciding to acknowledge Malcolm's existence while she waits for Felicity.]

[well, that's -- he always thought Ra's was Ra's. he knew it was a title, sure, the Head of the Demon and all that, but he just figured that that was what he was going with, like he goes by Nightwing, like Bruce is Batman, and so on. he didn't realize it was something that could be passed on. he probably should have, considering he was Robin first, and then there was Jason and then Tim, but. [to his credit, however, and probably thanks to the mask, he manages to keep his building upset off of his face. he even manages to keep up with the banter, seeming to let the rest of the conversation go. this is how he gets by.
